In the last two weeks, Zoe's language skills have exploded. She is using so many new words, and putting sentences together in ways she never has before. It is neat to see her growing up, even though I am having a hard time keeping up with her questions. She just won't accept "I don't know" for an answer. According to her, Dad and Mom should have all the answers. As happy as we are about this new skill, there are things about it that make me a little sad. As her vocabulary grows her cute little toddler sayings are decreasing. For example, she used to say sure instead of yes. I loved it. For example she might say, "want cheese and crackers please." "Do you want cheese and crackers?" (You have to repeat back what she says exactly or she will keep repeating the questions regardless of many oks on your part.) "SUUUUUURE" (She says this in a way that it sounds like it was my idea all along. It always makes me smile when I hear it) She would use her sures in every situation that required a yes. Now that I am thinking back she has always used a different word then yes. Before the sures, it was "aye" like a little pirate. Now though, she is "grown" up and saying yes, but not so grown up that she doesn't add that th sound at the end. It makes me smile as well. I hope she doesn't grow out of it too fast.

Jeff and I have always chuckled at her sures too. It's so fun to hear little kids talk.
I miss Laurel's also...the Disney Princesses used to be "Sarah" after her teacher now turned friend. It didn't matter which one we pionted to she would cann her Sarah.
