FINALLY!!!!!! Zoe is potty trained. I have been trying to get her interested in potty training since she was two, but she has adamantly refused till three weeks ago. We are so excited, and I am very relieved as I use cloth diapers, and keeping up with two was difficult. I took the advice of my visiting teacher and put her potty chair in front of the television and let her watch movies all day. It worked, and now we have a potty trained child. Not only has she potty trained (including out in public) we talked her into giving up her pacifier. Zoe loves her pacifier and though we had it contained to nap time and bedtime, we knew that giving it up would be heartbreaking for her. The first nap time when I had to tell her no, she just cried heartbreaking sobs while I held her, until Dave made the comment to her that the pacifier was bad for her teeth. She thought about it for awhile, and then decided to go without it. She asked for it once at bedtime, but accepted a no from me. She hasn't asked for it since. We can't believe how easy it has been. We have tried to break her of this habit since shortly before Asher was born. Both times it has been days of crying for it at nap time and bedtime for an hour or more even with me holding her. Because of her willingness this time we told we would take her to the store and she could pick out a toy. We ended up going to Build a Bear, and she had so much fun building a bear that she ended naming after her pacifiers, Weesy. She was so funny because the most important part to her was picking out a purse for Weesy. She was determined that the bear have a purse (it was hard for her to decided which one as she loved all of them), and something sparklyto wear. She found it's shirt on her own, and I have no idea where as I couldn't find another one like it in the store anywhere. She now sleeps with it, and I have to help her redress it a million times a day. However, I am willing to do so to have her potty trained and off her pacifiers. We were a little worried that naming it Weesy would make her regress and want her pacifiers back, so we keep reminding her all day that her new toy was for giving them up. That night as Dave was tucking her in she tells him "I don't want a weesy. I have my bear now." My little girl is growing up.

Yea for potty training! That's awesome you got her to give up the binks too. I can't believe how old she looks in that piture-and so pretty with her long hair! Sounds like life is good for the Cameron family. We sure miss you guys! (I'm lovin' the countdown to graduation btw.)
