My first "real" job

Well, I finally got my first "real" job since Katie and I got married 5 1/2 years ago. That is, if 20 hours a month is considered a real job. I started "moonlighting" at a dental office here in St. Louis 2 Saturdays a month and every Thursday night. Yesterday was my first day on the job. It was a little nerve-wracking. This is a huge practice in a really nice area of the city, "Town and Country." There are 3 other dentists that work there during the week and so there is a lot going on. I will work alone while I am there. So, yesterday, I show up and they told me, "Oh it will be a slow, easy day." 24 patients and 6 hours later, my day ended and I felt like it was a little faster and busier than a slow, easy day. 24 is a little deceiving because only four of those were actually "my" patients that were there for me to do specific work on them. But, while I was seeing my measly four patients the four hygienists needed me to do exams on their patients. It was quite a juggling act to learn, especially on my first day on the job. It is a little difficult to adjust as I haven't done general dentistry in almost a year and half. All-in-all, it went pretty smoothly, I am just lucky that I can finally start earning some money after all of this time in school.

Asher is doing well and he is sharing a room with Zoe. We only let him be in our room for about a week before he got kicked out. They do surprisingly well with not waking each other up. He is getting so big, way bigger than Zoe ever was. In fact, he even has some fat rolls, which Zoe never had. Zoe is such the helper, always wanting to help change diapers, tuck him in and when he cries she goes up to him and says, "SSHHH, baby, SSSHHH" with her finger up to her lips. I wonder where she learned that??
